Gupt Navratri or Magha Navratri:
Navaratri is a festival that takes place four times in every year. There are four different types of Navaratri celebration and they are the Ashad, Ashwin, Magh and Vasanth Navratri respectively. However, amongst these four Navaratri celebrations, only two are popularly known and they are the Ashwin and Vasanth Navratra. The rest of the two Navaratri seasons are known as the Gupt navratra. This Gupt navratra is a special occasion for the Tantriks and sadhaks to perform the rituals like Shatkarma Tantrik Prayog including Vashikaran, Shantikaran, Videshan,Uchatan, Maran and Stambhan.
In this auspicious occasion, people offer their homage to Goddess Durga and pray to her to get her blessings. Throughout these nine days, there is a recitation of the Vedic texts including Shrimad-Devi-Bhagwat, Shri DurgaSaptshati and Devi Mahatamya to invoke Goddess Durga. The occasion of Magh Navratri takes place within date 09 February 2016 to 17 February 2016. This occasion takes place in the month of Magh or February in the English calendar and in the tithi of Shukla Paksha. It is an amazing occasion to resolve the problems related to materialistic issues. Tantriks and sadhaks consider this period to be a very useful one to help people to get rid of their difficulties.
People keep fasts and chant the holy shlokas while they pray to Goddess Durga. The fast is a mandatory ritual, but if one fails to maintain this, he or she must at least keep the fast on the first and the eighth day of this period. There is the anusthan or celebration of Shri Durga Saptashati samput path in the Navgrah Mandir. The most important pujas that are performed in this period to invoke Maa Druga are Chandi yagya, Devi Path and Maha Kali Puja.

Throughout the country, this puja is performed. The basic reason behind this worship is to receive blessings for prosperity, knowledge and wealth from the Shakti or Goddess Durga. Important Days of Gupt Navratri
Throughout the Shakti Peeths of India, a special puja is performed on the Ashtami Tithi of Magh Navratra. On Maha Navami, the Durga Sapatshati havan is observed. The last day is observed to worship nine girls below the age of 12 years, who are considered to be the embodiment of Goddess Durga. Food and new clothes are served to them and in the Navgrah Mandir, the Shree Navaran yantra puja is performed.

Magh Gupt Navratri Dates
Magh Navratri for the year of 2013 will start from 11th of February to 29th of February. Magh navratri is being observed in the month of Magh(February) of Shukla Paksha. These navratri days are very auspicious to get rid of materialistic problems by performing specific Vedic Pooja. It is considered that if devotees recite the mantras or shlokas with full dedication then Goddess fulfils all the desires of the individual. Mainly the Goddess is worshipped in three forms- power, wealth and wisdom.

During all the nine days Pandit, of 600 years old Navgrah Mandir conducts the anushtan of all the Goddess.

In several parts of India Gupt Navratri is famous for all the tantrik pooja. This pooja is conducted so that Goddess get pleased and showers her blessings in the form of wealth, knowledge, prosperity and positive energies. Samput Path of Durga Saptashati
During the Navratri days Durga Saptashati samput path is being conducted in the Navgrah mandir. During Gupt Navratri Durga Saptashati chants are being done with full concentration and are considered to be the part of Markandeya Purana. All the mantras in the book describe how the Goddess Durga was provided with power and weapons by the trinity Gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva to destroy Mahishasura and other demons.

Ashtmi and Navami of Gupt Navratri
On the day of Ashtmi pooja is performed in all Shakti peeths and on the day of Mahanavami grand havan is conducted with the recitation of Durga Saptashati and other verses of Goddess Durga. On the tenth day, Kanya Pooja of minimum nine girls of age below 10 is being worshipped as the personification of Maa Durga. They are being offered food and new clothes and is prayed so that Maa Durga showers her blessings on her devotees.

Yaa Devi Sarvabhooteshu Shaantiroopena Samsthitaa Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah 12th July, 2010 to 19th July, 2010 According to Hindu calender year, Navaratri is celebrated four times in a year: 1. Chaitra or Basant Navaratri 2. Ashadh or Varsha Ritu Navaratri 3. Aswin or Sharadiya Navaratri 4. Magh or Sishir Navaratri These are further divided into Prakat or Open Navaratri and Gupt or Secret Navaratri. From the above mentioned Navaratri, Chaitra and Aswin are Prakat Navaratri; while Ashadh and Magh Navaratri are called Gupt Navaratri. Gupt Navaratri is very powerful and yield quick results, if any one chants either of these mantras with specific purposes secretly. Rules are simple. A person has to perform a ‘Panchopar Puja’ before Goddess Durga and communicate one’s wishes and surrender oneself totally. Chant the mantras at least 108 times before an earthen lamp. Recitations of mantra can be done from either of these Holy Navaratri days. Best days to begin are 13th July, 2010 – the Ratha Yatra Day or 19th July, 2010 – Bhadalya Navami. Here, it should be noted that Deva Sayani Ekadashi falls on 21st July, 2010 after which no religious sanskars can be performed for next four months i.e. upto 17th November, 2010 – Devathan/Prabodhoni Ekadashi.
